Senator Sejan and his decision to join the Empire as a compromise to protect his people under their false pretense of "peace" is a reflection of how Cal used to be. Then right away, we see Cal working with Saw Gerrera (who's obviously known for extremely brash, dangerous, and downright sadistic ways) and taking the fight directly to the Empire. ![]() Even though Battle Scars isn't a necessary reading, it does provide depth to how he got here as the book detailed his internal struggles of being over-protective of his comrades and his desire of solitude and a simple life, almost trying to simply be ignorant of the evil doings of the Empire just so he can keep his comrades safe. I really like the maturity and progress of Cal's character right from where we picked off. Everything from double jump to push/pull, slow evade, wall-running, BD's comlink is all there.Īs for what little story I encountered so far: People weren't lying when they said you pick up right from FO in terms of skills. Got about an hour through on Coruscant and first impressions are great.
